Doing God’s Story

At First Baptist Church Weslaco, we believe worship involves "Doing God's Story" (Robert Weber) through acts of remembrance and anticipation in every aspect of our lives.  We come together weekly to worship on Sundays and Wednesdays in community with each other in four diverse worship settings. 

First Baptist Church Weslaco also gathers for worship as a community Wednesday nights at 6:15 pm from September - May.  The Summer months provide creative avenues for fellowship, Bible study, and rest.

Sunday Discipleship classes meet on Sunday mornings in English at 9:30 am and 11:00 am in Spanish.

Regular Sunday Worship Services

First Baptist Church offers multiple Worship Service options, as listed below. FBCW also offers Nursery services in the Bess Knapp Child Development facility, for newborns to school age children.

GYM Service - 9:30 AM

The GYM (God You and Me) worships in our Family Life Center Gym and participates in table fellowship each week with doughnuts, coffee, and juice.  The song service offers a mix of contemporary and traditional music led by a praise band of diverse instruments in a modern style.  Nursery is provided.

English Service - 11:00 am

The Contemporary Service worships in our sanctuary each week and offers a mix of contemporary and traditional music led by a praise band of diverse instruments in a modern style.  Nursery is provided.
